On 16 July 2014, just weeks after signing permanently for Verona, Serie A giants Roma announced the signing of Iturbe for €22 million with performance-based add-ons up to €2.5 million. Iturbe contributed eight goals and four assists to the newly-promoted club, helping them to a 10th place finish.
